Kira Soltanovich is a Korean Spa Dork. Seriously. I like a Korean Spa but she... she knows things. She’s a comic and is on The Tonight Show regularly. I have a great time on this ep. I hope you enjoy.

I knew I didn't have much if anything to say about spa life, since I've barely gotten a professional massage in my life (I'm sure I could use one), but now I'm mostly contemplating why I find Kira Sotanovich (whose work I've missed till now) so utterly and instantly charming...and I've decided it's in large part because at least by what's in this interview, she reminds me of you, Jackie, only a bit more flamboyant and with a throaty voice. But the same intelligent, good-humored (v. bitter/bitten-off comedian) non-dogmatic but no-bullshit approach (the dogmatic version of this would be, say, Bill Maher), and readiness to take on new experience without being willing to throw one's self into extremity for extremity's sake (c'mon, swig that oddly-colored soda, kids!). I'm not sure a charcoal wall does much for one, except looking real black, but that might be enough. I'm not so sure that roundeyes, so much as customers, tend to look too much alike, in every service induststry...until one makes an impression. Preferably not quite the charcoal room/hallway sort of impression, of course...

And I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter whose name goes first on a joint return. Possibly if one partner owns their dwelling on her/his own.

    Thanks for sharing!
