Steve Mandel is @negativsteve on Twitter. His dork cred goes back to the conference call days of TDF. He’s on the podcasts Nerd Rage and Comic Book Insider and he collects art and stories regarding the lameness that is Aquaman. (Steve notes that Aquaman in the new 52 is actually good). We talk Heroclix and I laugh. Enjoy.

I'm always thinking of David Copperfield. You're right :)

The font thing is really annoying. They say it's me with the links but there's no way to adjust sizes in their word program. I boo libsyn some days. Others I cheer them.

This was a fun discussion, though I almost felt sorry for AquaMan by the end of it (Namor mocks him at the lodge meetings). It's been a hellaciously busy day, so I think I'll note only that I think you, Jackie, are thinking of David Copperfield when you mention Doug Henning wears (actually wore) all black (Henning died a bit back)...Henning was such a hippie magician that he was a hardcore Transcendental Meditation guy, enough so that he stood for Parliament in the UK as a candidate of the TM-related Natural Law Party, and his presence, as this American (unless he was Canadian) expat in the midst of their otherwise very soothingly modulated party political broadcast was, as you might guess, Very amusing. (The Natural Law Party has been fitfully active in the US, as well, putting up John Hagelin, who also sought the Reform Party nomination for the Presidency, and got it in some states; I believe NLP also ran Dennis Kucinich as their ballot presidential candidate in the next election, after Kucinich made his first run for the Democratic nomination.)

--Is it significant that your site problems seem to coincide with an odd change in the fonts on the page here? Something doesn't like a remote access (and perhaps is eating some of my comments before you see them, for that matter)(the horror!).
