    Loved this one! I think all working women deal with this crap on some level or another. It's definitely more brazen in the entertainment business I'm guessing.

    My favorite thing in the corporate world is saying something in a meeting and having it dismissed and/or ignored. Then a man says the EXACT SAME THING in the SAME MEETING and it is discussed at length.

    I've mentioned it before, but it's still true...I love the discussions of the trade. Sometimes, particularly for comediettes (aren't they darlin'?)[ducking], the dorkdom clearly is in finding ways to get through the working day/night/week by effectively deflecting attempts at being picked up, literally as well as figuratively. And put down, more figuratively there.

    I might've been tempted to suggest to the club owner/would-be tough-guy that perhaps carrying a knife in his teeth, pirate-scaling-the-rigging-style, would be even more machismic display than having a pistol on the desk, but perhaps there's a reason I've not held any job particularly long before the current one...
