Yeah...that killing joke is good, but I get what You're saying... When that stuff isnt done well, it's jarring and...honestly creepy. Thanks, I do need to remember that I do get to talk! Good point!

Based on this podcast alone, I now want to marry Kumail Nanjiani. I have stamped in my mind his voice saying, "OK, I just changed sides," after you said your aunt dressed her murderous husband in matching outfits. No flies on Jake Weisman either. Are all the funny people in the English-speaking world in LA?

Nope, ROBOCOP was indeed Miller-free...unlike R2.

It's your podcast. You Are allowed to talk!

There is Much to comment on, as usual (and I'm behind, need to catch up on the previous two), but I'll mention now only that the sort of Shrug that Wayne and the Joker share over the sexualized assault on Barbara Gordon in THE KILLING JOKE has always left me, shall we say, slightly put off. I've since wondered about how much the way the women particularly are brutalized in Moore's comics is sympathetically satirical and how much is just Id. (Then again, Frank Miller, the source of ROBOCOP [no?] and some of his other contemporaries often make their sympathy or empathy or lack of same rather more clear....)
