My guest is a bee dork! Finally! Stacy McKenna Seip has lurked around the bee “community” for a couple years and got herself a bee setup this year and knows more than me. I learned stuff. Wow, do I not know about bees. Dive in and enjoy!

Really? Pedophiles? That’s where I went? I like that Stacy just went along. She’s like a comic and UNMOVED by crazy comments.

Idiot Bee Info website. I should have read this first.

The worst predator for Honey Bees is the Varroa Mite

Hymenoptera

We drift off to knitting, gardening and … we’re back to bees!! ha@! Awesome.

I LOVED THIS EPISODE!!!! Who doesn't love bees? My elementary school had a room with a 6 x 8 foot plexiglass hive, and I loved going in and watching them. Have been desperately worried about collapse disorder... Stacy sounds hopeful that it isn't the end of bees... reassuring.

Very informative--Stacy McKenna Seip lays it all out very well, and good hear how almost breathless gathering that info leaves you, Jackie.

My friend Laura has been leery of eating commercial honey for fear of the antibiotics (and, presumably, the antifungals) being fed to the bees to fight the collapse disorder...I wonder how focused that kind of prophylaxis has become of late.

And I wonder how fascinated the little one was by the lizard.
