My guests are Jessica Mills and Stephanie Thorpe and they are total fangirls!  There is a lot of Star Trek talk. Heh. Jessica and Stephanie are on twitter as well.

That's perfect that we are able to get the home loans and that opens up new possibilities.

I think, quite honestly, you're right. I was a bit worried at the end of the old series. I think you're totally right!

Welllll...I am not the most rabid fan of TORCHWOOD's earlier seasons, but the new season/series was, by me, pretty undistinguished. A bit more money in their pockets, obviously, but not great. Not to be a downer, and you might well enjoy it better than I did (as much as I watched it, after the first two hours), or than Mills and Thorpe did, I kinda sorta gather. Then again, given that the guy who's heading Starz, as his first act almost, was to cancel PARTY DOWN and make sure it didn't continue elsewhere (and who was at liberty to take the Starz job after getting fired from HBO after an incident where he drunkenly punched his womanfriend in a Vegas parking lot), but who was very keen on holding onto the anal rape and blood spatter of SPARTACUS (from the folks who brought us XENA and LEGEND OF THE SEEKER...only with more rape and spatter). But, then, I may not be giving the Martin adaptation, THRONES, sufficient chance, either...but it still hasn't swept me up, and I haven't sought out an episode since about the fourth.

ST: TNG improved enormously, it seemed (a bit sadly), after Roddenberry's death, when he wasn't around to force the show to reride the same hobbyhorses the first series did. The last series just seemed exhausted, to me...exhaustion had already been evident in much of VOYAGER.

The "captcha" is giving long-chain carbon molecule prompts, in chemists' notation...that's the Dork Spirit!

The long delayed (by paying work and writing some short stories) fantasy/sf recs coming Real Soon Now!
