Bengt Washburn is a great comic. He also has a Masters Degree in in Fine Art. Yeah. It’s a smart TDF. We ARE at Acme Comedy Company’s 20th Anniversary in Minneapolis. It’s another installment of talk to as many of the 20 comics celebrating that weekend to find out what they all dork out about. This one? Comedy. Enjoy.

Nope, not a pipe Anyone might want to smoke (well, perhaps I assume too much too quickly)...pretty funny stuff.

Hey, why does the Comments entry still ask for websites if the hotlinks on names are all killed?

Todd! from @ChrisMurrin Magritte meets Plastic Man http://t.co/0HUCHRxL

I had reproductions of Magritte paintings (and some Stuart Davises and such) up on my bedroom wall in Kailua, Hawaii, from visits in the late '70s to the Hirshorn (the Smithsonian devoted to modern art), and thus I could see both Magritte's work and the egrets in the back yard, throwing the geckos up in the air to catch them in their maws and swallow them. Egrets terrified the cats...with good reason.

Did you ever read the old, original Plastic Man comics, Jackie? Mr. Fantastic was a blatant, and far less witty, ripoff. Even the first-gen MAD couldn't do much to parody such an unpretentious strip, though they did a fair job of making some points that I think registered with the PLASTIC MAN staff.
